"Mollar", whose full name would be Mollar De Elche, is a variety from Spain, which finds extremely fertile soil in Sicily.
Mollar pomegranates are particularly appreciated as, thanks to their predominant sweet flavour, they are suitable for both juice and table consumption, thanks to the "large" size of the beans. Its distinctive feature: the internal seeds are soft seed or almost inconsistent/non-woody. This makes it very pleasant to eat fresh, almost "seedless".
